Professional training with IAgrE

Industry roles for technicians are becoming more competitive, and the service providers continually strive to offer a more professional service to their customers.

Achieving professional registration as an Engineering Technician, with the Institution of Agricultural Engineers, is an excellent way to show your professional competence. EngTech is available to those who are qualified to at least a Level 3 in Landbased Engineering and have built up suitable early experience in the workplace; this will be assessed by industry professionals.

If you currently have a Level 2 in Land based engineering you can still join IAgrE at a Technician grade and use TIAgrE after your name. Remember, membership of IAgrE, including all its benefits is free to those studying Landbased engineering. Your first year’s membership following qualifications is also free and from then on membership starts at £38 per year.
